The “Unleash Your Imagination” project is an innovative application created for the Suwałki Cultural Center, merging the real and virtual worlds in a unique art presentation. The application allows users to interactively explore digitized artworks in two formats: via a web browser and VR goggles. For this project, the space of the Stara Łaźnia Art Gallery was faithfully recreated, enabling users to immerse themselves virtually in this authentic and atmospheric exhibition venue.

The dual availability of the application ensures broad accessibility for users while offering deep immersion and engagement for VR headset owners, making the experience more realistic and captivating.

Project Background

The project was developed as part of the “Unleash Your Imagination!” program to broaden access to culture and art while promoting the local heritage of the Suwałki Cultural Center. By combining web and VR technologies, the application provides both broad accessibility and unique immersive experiences, allowing users to explore art in a modern, engaging way.

Development Process:

1. Analyzing Needs and Requirements:

Identifying the needs of cultural institutions for digitally presenting artworks. Addressing technical and functional requirements for both versions of the application.

2. Recreating the Stara Łaźnia Art Gallery:

Accurately recreating the gallery’s interiors in a 3D environment, capturing the ambiance and distinctive character of the space. Implementing predefined display points for artworks and enabling users to freely navigate the virtual space.

3. Developing the CMS System:

Creating an intuitive content management system (CMS) that allows for: Adding new galleries. Uploading images. Assigning titles and descriptions. Editing and removing existing content.

4. Optimization for Two Platforms:

Ensuring smooth performance on both web browsers and VR headsets, with interface adjustments tailored to the specifics of each environment.

5. Hardware Delivery, Configuration, and Workshops:

Procurement and configuration of five high-performance VR headset sets to provide the best immersive experience. Conducting training sessions on application usage and the implementation of VR and AI technologies to enable the full utilization of the system’s capabilities.

The “Unleash Your Imagination” project exemplifies how cutting-edge technologies can support the development of culture and art by combining accessibility with innovative immersive experiences. Through the realistic recreation of the Stara Łaźnia Art Gallery and advanced content management features, the application not only promotes local heritage but also delivers inspiring experiences for both art lovers and technology enthusiasts.
