In medical fields, experience plays a crucial role. However, how does one gain relevant experience, especially without prior practice on a live patient? Traditionally, the norm was theory from books and patients as experimental subjects. Recognizing the limitations of this approach, the Skopia team aimed to change this paradigm with our virtual reality application. We envisioned a solution where medical students could practice various medical procedures, such as gastroscopic and colonoscopic examinations, in safe conditions without endangering patient lives. Additionally, every mistake would be immediately identified and properly assessed, facilitating effective learning.

Project Background
We understood that traditional methods of medical training have their limitations, especially when it comes to gaining practical experience. The Skopia team decided to harness the potential of virtual reality to provide medical students with the opportunity to practice various procedures without risking patients. Our goal was to create an advanced application that allows for realistic and interactive training, where students can practice gastroscopy and colonoscopy examinations in controlled conditions
Creation Process
1.Researching Medical Procedures:
We conducted thorough research and analysis of gastroscopic and colonoscopic procedures. We identified the key stages and elements of these procedures and discussed them with medical experts to gain deeper understanding and accuracy.
2.Designing Virtual Scenarios:
2.Designing Virtual Scenarios:
Based on the information gathered, we created virtual scenarios that accurately reflect the real conditions during gastroscopic and colonoscopic examinations. We paid meticulous attention to the replication of tools and techniques used in these procedures to allow users to practice realistically.
3. Interactivity and Precision:
The application features interactive elements enabling medical students to practically perform gastroscopic and colonoscopic examinations. Every step and movement was carefully replicated to offer an immersive and accurate training experience.
Skopia marks a significant advancement in medical education, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical skills. This tool is set to become an essential part of medical training programs, preparing future medical professionals more effectively for real-world challenges.
