Training for Passenger Aircraft Crew

Training for Passenger Aircraft Crew

The training program for passenger aircraft crew is an innovative training program created for the Air Force Academy in Dęblin. Our goal is to provide pilots with comprehensive and realistic training in emergency water landings and other unforeseen aerial maneuvers. Using virtual reality (VR) technology, we have developed a simulator that allows pilots to undergo practical training and acquire the necessary skills in a safe and controlled environment.

Project Background

Before introducing our training program, pilots had limited opportunities to gain practical experience in emergency situations. They often had to rely on theoretical knowledge from books, which was not always sufficient. The team at the Air Force Academy in Dęblin identified this gap and decided to leverage the benefits of VR technology to provide more realistic and effective training for their pilots.

Creation Process

1. Needs Analysis:

A thorough analysis of the needs and requirements of pilots related to training in emergency water landings and other unforeseen aerial maneuvers was conducted. The most important situations that should be included in the simulator were identified.

2. Scenario Design:

Based on the needs analysis, the team developed various training scenarios, such as emergency water landings, collision avoidance, rescue maneuvers, etc. Scenarios were created to accurately reflect real situations, taking into account different weather conditions and other factors affecting aviation operations.

3. VR Technology Implementation:

Using advanced VR tools and technologies, a realistic virtual environment was created that allows pilots to undergo practical training. Pilots have the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in virtual reality and make decisions in challenging situations.

4. Testing and Optimization:

The simulator application underwent intensive testing to ensure its high quality and accuracy in replicating real situations. Based on feedback and input from pilots, necessary adjustments and improvements were made to ensure an optimal training experience.

5. Deployment and Delivery:

After the creation process was completed, the simulator was deployed and delivered to the Air Force Academy in Dęblin. Specialized training was conducted for instructors responsible for conducting training using the simulator.
